Verblijf in het hart van Lloret de Mar
Marsol ligt pal aan het strand in Lloret de Mar, aan de Catalaanse Costa Brava. Het beschikt over een fitnesscentrum, een sauna, en een zwembad op het dak met een terras en ligstoelen.
Alle kamers van het hotel zijn voorzien van airconditioning. Ze zijn allemaal ingericht met satelliet-tv en hebben een eigen badkamer met een föhn.
Het buffetrestaurant van het hotel serveert een gevarieerd ontbijt en diverse internationale gerechten voor lunch en diner. Er is ook een café-bar met een terras aan de kustboulevard.
Het Marsol bevindt zich op 5 minuten lopen van het centrum van Lloret de Mar, waar u tal van restaurants, bars en nachtclubs vindt. De kerk Sant Romà ligt slechts 100 meter van het hotel.

Lloret de Mar is een ander belangrijk stadje van de Costa Brava en bovendien het vertrekpunt voor tochtjes naar prachtige plekjes.
Om va Santa Cristina naar Lloret de Mar te gaan moet men terug naar de hoofdweg via een zijweg die door een zacht glooiend, bekoorlijk landschap loopt. Als we dezelfde afstand over zee zouden afleggen zouden we langs de baai La Boadella en het eindlandje Illa dels Bots komen en de Punta del Canó, die naast buitenge-eigendom van doctor Raul Roviralta. Het is gebouwt in een veritaliaanste steil. Die schilder Domènec Carles heeft aan de bouw en decoratie ervan meegewerkt. In deze villa worden zeer waardevolle collecties, tapijten, schilderijen, miniaturen van schepen, en catalaanse ceramiek met zeemotieven bewaard. De tuinen met naar zee afdalende paadjes en trappen zijn op zich alleen al een verrukking.
Ten oosten verheft zich Santa Clotilde over Playa Fenals, een ruime ontzettend heldere baai waarmen gezellig kan zwemmen. Aan de noordelijke kant van dit strand bevinden zich de rotsachtige punt van Fenals en die van Banys, gevolgd door de rots van La Calavera, een verbastering van La Carabel·la (een lang en smal vaartuig met drie masten, gelijk aan dat waarmee Columbus zijn ontdekkingsreizen maakte) en de zuidoost punt van het, om vele motieven beroemde strand van Lloret de Mar.
Lloret de Mar is net als Blanes een iberische nederzetting, een comercieel centrum voor de grieken, verblijfplaats voor de romeinse zeevaarders, enz. en de geschiedenis gaat terug tot prehistorische tijden.
Actueel is Lloret de Mar een belangrijk toeristencentrum met 108 hotels, ondanks het feit dat de bevolking slechts iets meer dan 18.000 inwoners telt. Van de andere kant blijft deze goed geurbanisieerde gemeente zijn eeuwig karakter van een kleine stad met zeetradities behouden.
Vanaf Lloret de Mar begint de kust steeds wilder te worden en de wegen steeds minder gemakkelijk. De weg die de verbinding met Tossa de Mar vormt loopt noodgedwongen ver van de zee af, over de bergtoppen. Aan de kust, in aansluiting op Lloret de Mar, bevindt zich La Caleta, vanwaar men via een weggetje “dels Frares” geheten, in Cala d’en Trons aankomt.
Als men de kust over land verder wil volgen moet men langs een eenvoudig, tussen pijnbossen en akkers slingerend pad. Op deze manier kunnen we tot Cala Simo komen en als we dan over nóg een heuvel klimmen, tot Cala Gran. Wet verderop bevindt zich Punta de la Guaita, met daarachter het vriendelijke strand Playa de Canyelles en de niet minder prachtige en gezellige Cala Treumal en Cala Santa Cristina.

Le lendemain matin, nous avons demandé à changer de chambre. On nous en donc donné une autre qui elle, cette fois touchait l ascenseur. Donc, à chaque fois que celui-ci montait ou descendait, les câbles faisaient un bruit d enfer donc impossibilité de dormir. Donc séjour désastreux ! Car nous n avons pour ainsi dire pas dormi des 2 nuits. De plus, aucun respect des autres clients quand ils rentrent tard dans la nuit et parlent dans les couloirs comme si c'était en pleine journée. |

desde la entrada la acitutud del personal de recepcion muy amables ya que habia sido la resserve con habitacion dos camas y he pedido cama matrimonial cdo llegue ya la tenia. pregunado sobre sauna lo mas amables que los llamar 10 minutos antes poara encenderla. la ubicacion. el servicio de comedor exzcelente, lo caliente como tiene que ser y la comida muy bien preparada. limpieza excelente. pensamos volver va la costa brava y en ese hotel sera nuestro punto para dirigirnos a otras playas por lo mucho que nos ha gustado. excelente fin de semana Le bruit. Personale perfetto e cordiale, la colazione molto buona e con molta scelta, non vi aspettate il caffè italiano. Si può mangiare benissimo anche in ristorante, con un gran buffet, mangi e prendi tutto quello che si desidera a solo 11 euro escluso bibite. La tv è dotata anche di canali Italiani, si può utilizzare la piscina e sauna senza costi aggiuntivi. La stazione dei pullman è molto vicina, si trova Se ritorno in Lloret De Mar scelgo di nuovo questo Hotel sicuramente. Ho preso due stanze e in tutte e due i bagni le doccie erano rotte. |

Sobre todo la ubicación. Es perfecta. Para empezar el colchón durísimo y las almohadas parecen de papel. Los locales de debajo del hotel no dejan que duermas en toda la noche y a eso hay que sumarle los clientes del hotel que regresan borrachos a las tantas de la madrugada. Otro caso de mencionar es el excaso y de poca calidad el buffet, propio más de un dos estrellas que de un cuatro. He visto mejores hoteles por la costa con tres estrellas. |

La situation géographique de l'établissement, implanté dans le centre ville, en bordure de mer avec une proximité immédiate des commerces et de la plage. 1/ Le manque "flagrant" d'enthousiasme de la part de l'ensemble du personnel. Notamment au niveau de la réception, à l'arrivée comme au départ. Aucun contact, aucune conversation, tout juste de vague sourires.... 2/ Le prix du séjour ne m'autorise pas à critiquer ! Cependant ne dit-on pas que la critique est constructive ? Donc j' apporterai une critique sur la qualité du buffet (4 étoiles rappelons le !). De la viande de petite qualité, souvent réchauffée et sèche, beaucoup de plats à base de légumes et marchandises de conserve. A aucun repas il nous a été proposé un menu thipique (Paëla - Charcuterie ou plat local par exemple). Un peu mieux pour le petit déjeuner, sauf la présence de jus de fruits industriels à base d'eau sans vitamines ni saveur ! 3/ enfin un problème de place de parking dans lequel (malgré un prix de 12 €/jour) la surface de notre emplacement était manifestement trop petite pour notre CITROEN C.5 en raison de la présence d'un pilier. |

When I purchased three nights at the Marsol from December 1st to 3rd, I assumed that this would be for three nights, as is typical for all hotels I have stayed at. At Marsol, I was told I had to purchase another day at Midnight on Dec 3rd- and could not stay in my room until the following morning??? You have to pay extra for WiFi You have to pay extra for the safe! |

The Hotel was as one would expect from a 4 star. It was very clean and bright with friendly helpful staff. The inclusive breakfast was also good although the hot food wasn't hot! Location was superb overlooking the beach and sea. Would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities in room. Parking not easy in November so wouldn't like to try and park in the height of summer! Hot food at breakfast wasn't hot. Wouldn't recommend eating in the Hotel Restaurant in the evening as it is more transport cafe standard than that which one would expect of a 4 star hotel. We felt sorry for the waiter though as he was only serving the food that the kitchen provided - inedible though so we paid only for our drinks and went elsewhere for dinner. |

Location -Furtniture is tired 1970s cheapo/laminate (3* standard) -Cheapo breakfast ends at 10am, check-out by 10am not noon (like a 2* B&B). -No noise insulation, neighbouring rooms heard as my own. - checkin staff automatically charge your card in GBP using a very bad F/X rate, instead of asking, or charging in Euro. That's dishonest and an extra 5%. |

Location is good, rooms are OK I stayed single in a junior suite with a sea-view, and I would not recommend this hotel, especially - to solo travelers. 1) First of all, because you will have troubles with having guests in your room (which is a usual thing when you go alone to such a place as Lloret). I came at night with a girl friend. The hotel door was closed, and we had to wait around 10 mins before the sleeping receptionist opened it. He didn't allow us in, although I was prepared to pay reasonable fees. I resolved the issue finally, however the mood was spoiled with that discussion. 2) Secondly, the hotel may charge your credit card with any amount it wants after you leave it already. When I left the hotel, it charged my credit card with almost EUR 200, which was almost double the price of my room actually. So now I have to spend my time figuring out, how come that they charged me with such an amount, keeping in mind that I paid my stay in cash when checked in, and there was no minibar, and I haven't using any of the hotel services. 3) The third reason not to stay in the hotel, is that they are making money on everything. Internet of extremely poor quality will cost you EUR 5 per day, key from the safe box - another 5 EUR. I stayed in several Lloret hotels, and Marsol seems to be the worst one in terms of overall value-for-money. |

Nice Hotel close to center of town and right on the beach no parking had to use main car park which was very expensive plus you had to pay for the room safe as this was no cost to the hotel i believe this should have been included in the rate,plus last year we stayed just up the road for the same price we had full board,and free parking |

Because of our initial problems at reception we found it hard to enjoy the hotel so will make no other comment Our room was at the back and our window overlooked the adjacent building with rusty gas bottles and rubbish.We asked at reception id we could upgrade we were shown the price difference for a sea view it was 16 euros per day.we accepted glady and were told to return in 15 minutes.When we did it was a different receptionist who told us ti would be 39 euros per day .when we quoted the first price we were given she went to see the manager who said 30 euros euros per day per person and gave the reason as we had booked with booking .com.so obviously this 4 star hotel is only a two star if you book through booking . com.Needless to say we refused the offer and staye in the back room.This was intolerable as the was a church across the road that chimed every 15 minutes throughout the night.When we checked out the origional receptionist was on duty and when told of what happened and she reiterated that 16 euros per room was the correct price.Needless to say this spoiled our stay at this hotel and would never return. |

My booking was made through booking.com. On arrival I found that I had been booked Half Board - which I did not want, but was unable to amend this booking. I do not recall in making the booking an opportunity to choose level of booking!! food |

Great location , nice staff and comfortable rooms There is some kind of change over with the Russians in the hotel which happens around 3am on Saturday morning which was very bad waking the whole hotel up with there noise, this hotel must offer some kind of package deal and the client had no respect for anyone else in the hotel, I know this is not the hotels fault but be warned ! No sleep on change over nights |
