Lloret de Mar is a tourist village on the south Costa Brava with so many services as Platja d'Aro. However, the conversion of Lloret into one of the main resorts on the Costa Brava has not made it forget its own origins, which are brilliantly preserved and that are shown proudly to those wishing to spend their holidays in this extraordinary zone of the coast.
What was once a fishing village that developed on a long beach stretching from Sa Caravera to Sa Caleta has changed considerably. The town also features beaches (Cala Canyelles and Sa Somera to the north, and Fenals and Santa Cristina to the south), period houses on the seafront promenade, a boat procession held in July during which flower-decked boats carry the relics of Santa Cristina, and history showcased in the Museum of the Sea, located in the Indiano (i.e. built with money made in the Americas) building known as Can Garriga and containing an extensive collection of model ships. Lloret, a popular tourist destination among English and German young people, has a large concentration of accommodation options and tourist facilities, including a casino. An impressively large Roman tomb is found at the entrance
to the town.
The offer of Lloret de Mar aimed at those who love beaches and creeks is generous. Next to the center of town is Lloret Beach (Platja de Lloret), the longest in the village. Getting to it will be very easy, even if by car, since parking is available opposite the beach. This is a beach of fine white sand that has all the necessary facilities for bathers: sun beds and umbrellas rentals, water skiing, kayaking, restaurants, showers, etc.
Another beach, a little out of the center is Cala Canyelles, accessible from the road to Tossa de Mar. It is the only beach in Lloret de Mar that has a port. It's also covered by white sand, so typical in the Costa Brava as the golden sand, and is surrounded by a thick forest of pines, which makes this environment very attractive.
Other beaches of Lloret de Mar, also well-known, are Fenals Beach (Platja de Fenals, that can be reached by a coast walkway), Sa Caleta Beach, Boadella Creek, Santa Cristina Beach (the latter situated between two hills, is protected from wind and waves, so it is a very sheltered beach) and Treumal Beach.
The center also offers some important points of interest that worth a visit. Next to Boadella Creek on a cliff line, you can find Santa Clotilde Gardens, designed in Italian Renaissance style and that has a certain resemblance to the Boboli or Giusti ones, in Italy.
Other sites of interest are the Sant Joan Castle (the interior can be visited), the Casa Cabañas, the Monument of Apollo and Daphne, the Source of Canaletas, the Sardana monument, and the monument to the to the Sailor's Wife, located in the southern part of Playa de Lloret.

I liked localisation, only 5-10 minutes to the beach. And only 1 hour on the bus to Barcelona. The price for 2 weeks stay was ok comparing to other hotels but remember you get what you pay for... The hotel was very poor, there was not a TV and Internet in our room. The room was dirty especially the bathroom and the floor under the beds. The cleaning ladies came every day to change towels and clean the room but never looked under the beds. The beds are very old and basic. In general the hotel is not a good place to stay if you come to rest and relax, no way...very loud especially evenings and nights, many young people sit on balconies, smoke weed ( you can smell it everywhere ), shout to each others and sing. You cant imagine how loud it is until you experience it. On the night time young, drunk people run on the corridors, bang to the doors, fight etc. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone apart the party people :) |

Location Firstly; gave me wrong key when checking, they gave me someones room key. I wasnt to impressed and neither was the chap inside. Bed was uncomfortable and basic, room was extremly noisey, decor needs a serious update, bathroom clean but holes everywhere in floor, bath, and ceiling. Any attempt to comunicate with management was trifling. One receptionist was quiet nice but her hands were tied, always understaffed, and over worked. Buffet was basic, ended up eating outside after first day. If a group was checking in you could expect a 20min wait for room key. Most of hotel looked good but the section in was in was seriously delappadated!! Yes im sure it had been refurbed but not everywhere. Location was good for everything but unless your a german or french group, i would never go back!!! Brits stay away!! There are far better hostals that are in better condition. For the price i paid, i would have expected far better. Never again!! |

Недорогой вполне приличный отель, расположение хорошее - в центре Ллорет дель Мар недалеко от набережной и от вокзала. Меблировка в комнатах скромная, но зато отличный холл и столовая, выбор блюд просто огромный, все было приготовлено очень вкусно, в-общем кормят отлично. Ну не понравилось что в ванной отсутствовали даже намеки на какие-либо туалетные принадлежности, ни мыла ни геля ни шампуня, сантехника какая-то старая, сначала нам дали номер где душ был прикручен намертво к потолку, там купаться, мыться или совершать какие либо другие действия было абсолютно невозможно, даже просто помыть ноги, т.к. вся вода лилась на пол. Мы возмутились и на ресепшен попросили другой номер с человеческим душем, нам его предоставили но на следующий день. Кроме того не понравились мрачные тетки на ресепшен, которые любезностью явно не отличались. Но в-общем отель для бюджетной поездки пойдет. |

Las habitaciones están bien, no era muy grande, pero para dos creo que esta genial, tenias la playa al lado y muchas tiendas que visitar. Recepción sabe muchos idiomas y te ayudan bastante. El comedor es muy grande y esta muy bien, hay variedad de comida. Tiene una piscina enorme y es muy bonito el hotel Clipper por dentro. Lo que menos me a gustado, en mi caso, estaba en la cuarta planta en mi habitación con mi pareja y mientras estábamos durmiendo, a las 5 y pico de la mañana había gente extranjera gritando y picando a las puertas y por la mañana al bajar por ascensor, encontrábamos comida en el suelo y botellas de alcohol. Pero por todo lo demás muy bien. |
