Sant Pere Galligants Church

The church of St. Pere de Galligants is one of the most remarkable monuments of Catalan Romanesque art. The first nucleus of the church dates back to the Xth century, but it is in XIIth century when the church was built as you can see it today, thanks to the Ramon Berenguer el Gran count's donation. Today it houses the Archaeological Museum of Catalonia, which exhibits the most important discoveries in the province of Girona, from Prehistory to the Middle Ages.
