Saint George's Day, Sant Jordi, is celebrated every 23rd april in all Catalonia. The most important city in Costa Brava Ampurdán, Girona, shows around Rambla de la Llibertat street a good deal of little bookstores and roses stores. Roses and books are the presents to offer in this old catalan tradition. Thousands of people walk along the Rambla searching for the best book and rose, and also getting a signature from the novel's author.

    The archaeological site of Castellum Fractum is a few kilometers north of Girona, on the little mountain of Sant Julia, 190 meters high.
