The hot springs of Caldes de Malavella date far back in history.
The Roman spas that have been conserved bear testimony to a deep-rooted spa tradition that, in the mid- 1800s, placed the town on the map of the great European watering places. The urban bourgeoisie bequeathed a wealth of Modernista heritage to the town.
To this day, its sparkling water (Vichy Catalán, very much a classic here) is sold. Caldes plays host to two large spas, Prats, featuring spacious rooms with high ceilings and fine gardens, and Vichy Catalán, a magnificent neo-Islamist Modernista-style building by Gaietà Buïgas dating from 1898.

Mooi resort. Kamers aan de tuinzijde met balkon heel mooi. Hadden eerst een kamer aan de parking maar deze was veel minder. Dan maar toeslag betaald voor een betere kamer. Sfeer in restaurant en bar, veel te veel licht. |

La ubicació, en un lloc tranquil però a prop de molts nuclis de població, l'esmorzar molt bo, l'habitació gran i neta, la banyera del bany, el personal molt amable, el camp de golf dels voltants, l'aparcament gratuït... La Wi-Fi crec que és l'únic que no està a l'alçada. La connexió a l'habitació era molt dolenta i trigava molta estona a carregar una pàgina. Caldria actualitzar aquest servei. |

Spent 4 days with my son practicing golf 4 hours on the exelent practice areas and after we played the stadium course. We also managed to play 9 holes after that on the tour course. Same schedule all 4 days :). The courses and clubhouse are perfect. We where there in late january and have sunny days with temperatures over 16 degrees. The hotel is really nice but we had dinner in Girona since its a bit boring to have dinner at the restaurants all evenings. Breakfast exelent. The spa needs to be repainted and some polish. The golf courses are lovely in a spectacular setting. Practice facilities also good. The bed was very comfortable. The wi-fi worked well. Lovely big bath. Some staff a bit rude (although some we really nice). Always a a struggle with no fridge or kettle in a family room when buying from bar/restaurant is expensive as is room service. Would go back as a single man to play golf any day but not with family. |

Der Aussenpool und die Wiese dazu sind sehr großzügig. Das Abendbuffet ist für ein paar Tage lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die beiden Golfplätze sind 1a. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen hilsbereit. Die SpaAnwendungen sind schön. Der Spa- und der FitnessBereich sind lächerlich klein. Wenn man nicht nur zum Golfen kommt, liegt das Hotel ziemlich ab vom Schuss. |

Réactivité du personnel d’étage Seul avec ma fille de 8 ans, arrivée à l’hôtel 15h00 pris un douche puis piscine retour chambre 17h00 serviettes salle de bain déjà changées, lit de la petite préparé sans rien demandé. 19H00 sortie Direction Gironna ville proche retour hôtel 22h30, Restaurant n’assurant plus le service mais sans aucunes grimaces acceptes quand même de nous servir un repas. Petit déjeuner copieux. Serveuse de la piscine très agréable et souriante. Très bon Mojito. Conclusions: Hôtel plus pour les Adultes que pour les Enfants. Pas de surveillant piscine pour les enfants, donc pas de sieste. Pas de garderie pour les enfants, donc pas de sortie nocturne, pas pu profiter du spa interdit aux enfants et aux massages dommage. |

Hemos pasado unos dias maravillosos y super relajantes en este hotel!Nos ha encantado el diseño,la piscina,la decoracion del jardin el preciosa!!!!El campo de golf es super bonnito ,hemos dado un paseo por la zona y es maravillosa!!!!...Se siente uno unido con la naturaleza ,relajacion y tranquilidad.Por la noche se oyen las ranas ,el canto de pajaros-una maravilla!Recomiendo este lugar a las personas que quieran descansar de la ciudad,es el citio preciso para esto!IPersonal super amable.INCREIBLE! Lo unico que no nos gusto es lo caro que es el restaurante!....28 euros el menu nos parece bastante caro,y para coger un plato suelto a partir de los 20 euros.....entiendo que es un 4 estrellas...pero....y el menu deja mucho que pedir...no tiene nada de variedad ....aparte de esto -todo genial! |

La habitación era fantástica. Entorno muy tranquilo. Tipo de clientela educada (sin ruidos nocturnos en el pasillo). Debería haber más conexión con el Club de Golf PGA. Podrían ofrecer fichas para la cancha de prácticas en el propio hotel y no tener que ir hasta la casa club para luego volver a las inmediaciones del hotel. |

Fuimos a pasar un fin de semana de relax al hotel y cumplió muy bien su función. Las habitaciones grandes y bonitas. La cama y almohadas deliciosas, imposible sufrir insomnio con ellas ... dormimos excelente. La bañera con vistas a la habitación también nos gustó. El desayuno excelente, con mucha variedad. A mi me gustó especialmente que además de los típicos zumos de naranja y manzana tenías el zumo antioxidante, el vitaminico, el energético ... de mezclas de distintas frutas o yogurts. El SPA era pequeño, tenías la parte de jacuzzi y aguas, la sauna seca y la sauna humeda y un par de duchas ... como fuimos temprano cuando llegamos por suerte sólo había una pareja más, así que lo pudimos disfrutar bien ... después de un rato llegaron unas 4 parejas más y ya eramos muchos para el pequeño SPA |
