Natural cave located 200 meters above sea level, which is accessed from the same walking path that leads to the Castle of Torroella de Montgrí. It was occupied by prehistoric man 300,000 years ago and inside burned bones of old elephant, rhinoceros, lynx and bears have been found (so they knew the fire). This kind of animals then existed in this habitat and they fed. From the Cau del Duc ('duc' is the name of an owl species that occupied this area) the views over the south Ampurdan are excellent.
