Old Seamen Cemetery

It is the Old Cemetery of l'Escala, also called Seamen or White. It's a neoclassical building clearly inspired in the Mediterranean spirit and created approximately in 1837 to house the large number of bodies of large epidemics of cholera and malaria that occurred in that time. It is structured in three parts: access atrium, niches along streets and other group of niches surrounding a garden area. Ask Tourist Office of l'Escala on visiting hours.
