Carmen Amaya is the Flamenco dancer most internationally recognized. She died in Mas Pinc villa in Begur, in 1963, after a long kidney illness, and the village has always been grateful to the love she showed to them. This modern statue of 2 meters, made by the artist Francesc Polop, is located on a beautiful viewpoint towards the Castle of Begur, which she helped to clean up by a charity concert.
