Mas Pinc is probably the best preserved antique farmhouse in Begur. Original from the XVIIth century, it has a detached defense watchtower that was built to protect its inhabitants when pirates boarded the village from the coast. Furthermore, in the XXth century, Mas Pinc has been famous because the great flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya (1913-1963) spent her last years and, in fact died, among these walls, after a long disease. Today the farm allows access to interior thanks to a exposition about the marine fauna in the area and contains also a small tribute to the great dancer, and also a modest botanical garden in the garden space, with examples of Mediterranean species.
